Don't worry. Dan coached at Chapel Hell. He can tell the kid first hand what he is getting into there! Betcha Mom is working for 'you know who'!

that close to where his mother lives is too good an opportunity to pass up.

From Wadesboro, it was a couple hour drive either way.

Amazing how that works

Not saying there are any improprieties there, but Shane Battier's mom got supposedly had a job in Durham for a brokerage firm, but when the NCAA investigated, she'd never been to the office (keep in mind, this was two years after he'd enrolled). Of course, nothing was ever done to punish the NCAA's pristine university...

I wish I could remember the kids name, but quite a few years ago there was a 'star' quarterback in Charlotte who was heavily recruited by many big schools. He eventually ended up in Columbia and his Dad ended up with a position at ' you know where'! As I remember it, like so many, the kid did nothing at USC but it was obvious that something was amiss. Any one old enough to remember this?
