The most famous bowl game yet to be featured in Clemson Bowl History. LSU wrapped up their first national title with the win in this game. This turned to be Clemson's only ever Sugar Bowl appearance. A crowd of 82,000 saw Billy Cannon and the LSU tigers slip past 8-2 Clemson . Clemson held LSU to 7 points, tied for their lowest output of the season.


anyone have memories of this game? This is of course most special to LSU fans but Clemson equated themselves well.

I was there along with three other guys. we drove down in rainy weather all the way. saw the game and paid $5.00 for tickets at gate. eat steaks after game. drove home that night.what a trip. think LSU had 4th down on the 10 yard line and completed pass between 2 defensive backs. Harvey White was our QB.
