Class Act Willy!

Once a Tiger always a tiger. Sorry it did not work out on the field at Clemson for you, but great job at North Greenville this year!

Willy Korn is a quality young man, and demonstrated that while part of the Clemson program, and now more recently in his success in his latest opportunity. We should support all of our current and former players, and recognize them for their performance on the field, but also for their character and leadership off the field as well. Sometimes things happen for reasons we never fully understand. Really proud for Willy.

Willie Korn did just Like Willie Simmons did when he exited Clemson...he handled things with class .

WK...I'm glad he's having success at Greenville...Like it was said earlier...once a Tiger always a Tiger .

Well said Sir!!!

I was sitting right behind our bench when Willy started warming up to go into his first game at Clemson. Yes, I was one of those cheering him on. Like Willy said, things just happen sometime. And there is nothing that can stop it. Willy has a very high character with a lot of class to go along with it. Good luck with your future Willy. Stay as classy as you are now, and have been. You will have a very bright future....

This makes me wonder

I'm glad to see Willy doing well - he was dealt a bad hand and never blamed it on anyone, which illustrates his high character. However, this issue of the medical staff not recognizing the severity of injuries seems to be a recurring theme - Willy's shoulder, Kyle Parker's ribs, Spiller's turf toe. It seems like there are more, but I can't think of them at the moment. I hope those who misdiagnose these injuries (that turn out to be worse after further investigation) are held accountable. Go Tigers!

Bucs medical staff

Dec 8, 2011, 8:26 AM

Was quoted as saying this summer that Clemson medical staff did a great job with bowers surgery/rehab.. Spiller was just a pain tolerance issue..no long term effects. Korn and KP are the only 2 questionable and you'll only hear one side due to privacy lawzs

Korn got screwed over by the crappy Clemson med staff

Dec 8, 2011, 10:54 AM

I saw him in his first couple games and he could unleash a really accurate deep ball. After that very first should injury he was never the same. Glad he's back to normal now.

did Willy get treated for that GT shoulder injury at Redfern***
