Christian Miller

Feb 18, 2013, 9:11 AM

Anybody else surprised he pulled the trigger for UF?

Didn't think Clemson was a realistic possibility for him given his coot ties (although I believe his mother is a clemson grad).

I think if we're only taking 1 LB it's gotta be holding out for Rae. McMillen, who I think we have a great chance with, but really have to have a solid top 10 season and have Oh St. slip (he's on record to saying the performance of the teams he's considering is very important).

More surprised coots couldn't snare Christian Miller, but w/ Lawing gone, may not be a major surprise.

USC nor Clemson really wanted him. USC probably would have taken him at DE, the position we offered him. Doesn't make sense to me but I'm no coach.

Clemson has plenty of other targets...this kid is about

You might want to reserve a little of that unbridled optimism that USC will be garbage soon. Wouldn't want you to run out of one-liners before December.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Thatll offer up plenty of them***

If Lawing was able to pay good money for recruits at UNC (documented) and USC imagine what he can accomplish with Florida's checkbook

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

We're only taking one LB next year

Feb 18, 2013, 4:19 PM

We're only taking one LB next year because our class is limited. We only have 4 seniors on the team next year. Bryson Allen-Williams will be our LB commit for next year. His offers are a little better and he won't bring the baggage that Corey Miller's son was bound to bring. Clemson and Carolina offered Christian but neither pushed for his commitment.

think hes a LB

Feb 18, 2013, 7:05 PM

so Lawing leaving wouldn't matter.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: think hes a LB

Feb 18, 2013, 7:09 PM

Lawing coached his dad and FLA runs a 3-4 defense.

Check up on DE/LBs in a 3-4 and get back to us.

Re: think hes a LB

Feb 18, 2013, 7:14 PM

Well his dad talks crap about the university on his radio show 24/7 and we run a 4-2-5, so he wouldn't play end here probably spur.

And hes 6'4 215. Lulz at the thought of him lining up at end.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah, yeah, that's the ticket........

Feb 18, 2013, 7:14 PM

"We didn't want him anyway".

Re: think hes a LB

was 6'7.... and he ended up playing around 260 his last two years

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: think hes a LB

Feb 18, 2013, 7:32 PM

And what was Taylor's weight his junior year in high school and how much did Corey Miller grow after his junior year in high school?

By the way - we didn't offer Taylor because we thought he was too hin.

Everyone makes mistakes.

Re: think hes a LB

Feb 18, 2013, 7:36 PM

He was paperthin, i think around 225. But he was already 6'7

I highly doubt Miller gets that tall, or much taller at all

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: think hes a LB

Feb 18, 2013, 7:38 PM

Lots of 6'4" defensive ends playing on Sundays. You and I have to admit your DEs height the last two years is the exception not the rule.

Re: Christian Miller

Feb 18, 2013, 8:35 PM

Miller isnt a fit for either instate school if he wants to play lb. He could put on the weight to be a de in a 4-3. He wants to play lb, though, so he needs to be an olb in a 3-4. Since neither of us run a 3-4 neither of us pushed hard for him.
