No offense but...this is politics.
The logic also doesn't add up.
It goes something like this: people who refuse to defend and stand up for a particular state have no right to protection from that state.
This isn't blind patriotism, it's just common sense, and it in no way implies America is perfect or that more dialogue or progress is not necessary.
Roman mothers used to tell their sons: "Son, come back with your shield...or on it."
In the words of Robert A. Heinlein - probably the intellectual father of Libertarianism, and hardly the most conservative guy around - later on this custom declined. And so did Rome.
If you won't stand for America, how can you demand America stand up for you?

If you don't use the freedoms you are given why have them?
This is exactly what people have fought, died, and sacrif iced for.
I'm sure if push came to shove Chris would be fighting foreign invaders with the rest of us defending this great nation

This isn't about "using your freedoms" at this point.
It's about being accountable.
I have the freedom to wear a pointed hat and a swastika, but I wouldn't want to be accountable for those actions because they are disgusting. All these guys had the benefit of the doubt initially because maybe, just maybe, they didn't know how bad they would offend the country, all it stands for, and all that fought and gave their lives for it. Now that they know.. they should be accountable for their actions. And thus you have a situation where you do need to ask, " If you won't stand for your country, why should your country stand for you?"

Q's right here, and our Liberal Supreme Court is wrong....

if you will not stand up for the symbol of this Nation - the Flag -
then you do not also recognize the Constitution that would otherwise provide you rights.
No one has the right to deface or defame the Constitution, or it's symbol, the Flag
regardless what the Supreme Liberals say.
Liberals don't get this particular argument not because they cannot be logical,
but because they have given their logic over to self-absorption -
only because they cannot stand for someone to tell them, "No."
It is only good logic to say that a Nation that allows it's Law to be defamed will ultimately not stand,
and history teaches us that the failure of Liberalism is that it is not a Society, but instead a Society killer...

People seemed to be confused over someone's "right" to do

something versus whether it's "right" to do it! Of course not everyone is going to agree whether something is right to do or not, so that is a never ending argument. Also, if you are going to protest, have knowledge on why you are doing it beyond what you saw in a 10 second sound bite from a one-sided source.......and that goes for both sides!

But I also have the right to say I think he is hardly oppressed and is a complete poser buffoon for kneeling. I am disappointed a Clemson man would not be thankful he lives a country where you can make a fortune playing a game for a living.
