Had to check again to make sure this wasn't being "announced" through a parody site. It's real.
Would also be funny as all get out if the Coots finished the season losing to Ole Miss, Fla, and us plus having Chattanooga Citadel them making the Dec 1 game useless.

I said earlier this week that there was absolutely no way in he!! u5c would schedule a team, particularly a Power 5 team, with any realistic possibility of winning this game.
Akron actually beat Northwestern earlier this year so maybe there's a chance.

especially on defense, but if the Cawks can find a way to pi$$ this one away (which is entirely possible), with upcoming losses to Florida and Clemson, at 6 - 6 they won't be bowl eligible anyway.
If they can beat Ole Miss, it's off to the Birmingham, Liberty or Independence Bowl.

I’m afraid you’re mistaken, friend. Six wins quantifies bowl eligibility. Years ago, they only gave you credit for one win over a 1-AA opponent, but I don’t think they do that anymore. At 6-6, they would be bowl eligible. If you remember, FSU had to win their make up game last year to get to six wins to keep their bowl streak alive.

You still can only count 1 FCS win towards bowl eligibility.
All seven 2in teams but be selected before a bowl can take a 6 win team.

Only reason the coots are scheduling a game is to try to forget what a huge loss they will have to us. End the season on a high note rather than have to deal with a beat down by their Daddy.
Of course some will argue they scheduled the game to play on Championship weekend as this is their only way to play that day. Seriously - coots will make a big deal of this - win or lose. Just pathetic.

Just looked at the Dec 1 CFB TV schedule. The SEC network is available that day as the SEC championship game is on CBS at 4:00 PM.

We didn't schedule them midway through the season when we know they suck just so we have a chance to become toilet bowl eligible. Who knows, they could be the next ucf in 2020 and be a challenge.
u5c looked for a winable game to head to the crapper bowl and soothe the pain of a major beat down to end the season.
