and now the boat ramps are closed, dang the luck. As I read it though it was the ramps in State Parks, County and Corps I guess may still be open. Kinda makes it tough to enjoy Jocassee though.

I have a 12' boat, trolling motor, marine battery, charger and small outboard engine that's never seen ethanol. It will be kinda nice to not get rocked by wakeboarder, skiers and fishermen with 200hp motors who always seem to think the fish are at the other end of the lake.

Then I would guess you are not fond of us jet ski folks either. Like the Family Guy episode, " Here is your license,go be a dikk."

I never complained and I have nothing to apologize for. You should take this up with the NYC liberals and others who promoted public gatherings after our National Health Emergence declaration and the China travel ban.

Think you may have missed the referance **. Was not implying you to go be a dikk. See jet ski folks are different and some/lot can be dikks on the water. Go be a dikk was in referance to how jet ski folks can be viewed, kinda like skiers versus boarders.

Snowboarders are a pox on humanity.
I remember trying to learn a few years back - I was a pretty good skateboarder back in the day, and a very good skier because I was born up in the UP in Michigan and I think I skied before I actually walked - so I figured: hey, how hard could it be? At least until I got wound out on the bunny slope and managed to literally knock myself out. I vaguely remember coming to with a ringing headache and a bunch of callow punks with far too much scraggly facial hair blowing by yelling "yard sale, yard sale!"
It wasn't until later one of my friends explained the reference...a yard sale is a particularly epic crash, one that leaves hat, gloves, goggles, etc, deposited all over the slope. I grudgingly returned the board and went back to skis the rest of the trip.
Snowboarders. Human scum, I say.
Although...I really do love me a jet ski. I remember buzzing this one guy in a 12-foot fishing boat one time up in Tennessee, old guy kept shaking his fist at me. Dunno what that was about. ">

I am a fairly good skier and tried boarding ONCE. It hurt to dang bad to keep trying, 1st time I have ever walked down a run. Maybe it was wakeboarding and those instincts that did not help too but for some reason whaterever velocity you werre going on a snow board catching an edge resultes in a 2x factor of impacting the melon to the slope.

If I were driving all over the state still, I'd be raking in the cash with mileage.

Diesel is still around $2.60/gal. Fuel was cheaper in Jan 2015 than now.

I am still at the same fuel burn rate as my job has not shut down. Still gotta go out to help provide air ambulance coverage, aircraft still flying so inspections occur by time/date requirements and components need changed. Not to mention those items hamhanded pilots break.

I'm holding out for $.169/gal like I paid in 1967 at the KAYO station in Midtown, TN. It's between Kingston and Rockwood.

A good way to get folks to stay home and generate

some revenue to offset the cost of all this would be a big per gallon gas tax. Let the market force people home.
Of course it would price delivery drivers out of business and then we’d all starve I guess.
I’m kidding but I’m surprised the politicians haven’t thought of it
