Any idea why we could not kick ball to end zone

against Ohio State? We semmingly were getting off into end zone much of season. Dome make a difference? Planned? Too much time off? Bad day?

Well, I was about to rebut that OSU didn't have any problems. Then I caught myself knowing they only had one chance. Lol. Personally, I believe it was leg strength and accuracy when he really tries to kick it hard. I know we have had a few to go out of bounds this year as well.

Pure speculation, but the footing on the field

was bad all night. Huegel doesn't have the strongest leg but he's gotten most kicks to the goal line or a few yards deep this year. Maybe the footing with his plant foot wasn't very good

The grass was grown outside, then moved inside for the game (saw a bit on that and thought it was fascinating).

BUT...

The Grounds Crew is led by an OSU alumnus. He pressed the button so that the field was moving during our kickoffs (relative to the ball's flight). This is the real life inspiration for those old Buffalo Wild Wings commercials where the bar tender could hit a button to extend games.

This sounds far fetched, I know, but it will come out in the next week or so. You heard it here first (possibly last, as well)
