The movie was dedicated to the American AND Japanese sailors who fought in the Battle of Midway. Are you f’ing kidding me? Oh, yeah......let’s dedicate a movie to enemies that wanted to kill us.

That is nuts. The Japanese were as bad as the Nazis. The Japanese killed close to 4 million Chinese civilians and raped tens of thousands of women. We lost over 100,000 men fighting the Japanese and had a couple hundred more thousand wounded. They also tortured our POW's. Yep, and as you stated, they attacked us. That is turrible to dedicate anything to the Japanese who fought.

I probably watched it 30 times as an 8 or 9 year old. Was excited about the remake. Obviously, not as impactful as the original, but I thought it was decent. You gotta go into these with low expectations.
