indecent exposure for using the bathroom outside when you were a kid? Or for the horrible violence of shooting cows with a bee-bee gun when you were a kid?
Now, I'm not admitting to anything, but I bet a bunch of you better start paying off some people. I hear a "Go Fund Me" page can help.

I think it is somewhere along the lines of sexual assault is just one big joke to Trumpers, and people deserve life time appointments to the Supreme Court without so much as a question from anyone.

It’s the socialist left that wants a totalitarian police state where an accusation is as good as a conviction and the burden of proof is on the defendant.

It's not a trial, it's a job interview. I think better candidates can be found that could still uphold the conservative agenda.

Now when America saw thru that bullsh*t, now it's about drinking in high skool & college. And how he defended himself in front of people who called him a gang rapist. Yer little feelies got hurt. that tired line isn't really accurate.
If it was, the POTUS is the hiring authority and the Senate is the HR dept.
And, if it was a job interview, the claim came out after the interview was over.

I really don't know.
If you believe her whole story exactly as told, then I would probably so disqualifies. And that would mainly be based on the hand covering her mouth part.
Without that, it's aggressive fondling at most.

the confirmation hearing by comparing a 4 year old not eating his vegetables, and a kid peeing outside, to sexual assault. The parallel, of course, being that these all occurred so long ago that they couldn't possibly matter now, and that they're all such minimal "kids will be kids" events, that we can clearly exhibit how ridiculous this whole charade actually is. Really, who amongst us hasn't held their hand over a girl's mouth to muffle her screams? It's the same as not eating veggies!

Lawd. 19B's point is valid. I did A LOT of stupid #### I wouldn't want my kids to know about, but I sure as hell never did ANYTHING like what Kavanaugh is accused of. So this narrative that says, "I'm glad I don't have answer for what I did" in this context makes me think that every person who agrees with it must have tried to rape someone at some time in high school. Otherwise, it's just stupid and irrelevant.
And the Booker thing? What in the hell does copping a feel and backing off and apologizing for it have in common with Kavanaugh. Honestly, I don't think Booker's story ever happened, I think he made it up to make him more palatable to women. And THAT's why he should resign, for lying.

use other behavior of Kavanaugh in high school and college to paint a picture to support the charge of sexual assault.
Drinking, throwing ice on a arsehole in a bar, etc...also have NOTHING to do with sexual assault. I personally did all of these things and much more in HS and college, and I never sexually assaulted anyone.

I think it comes down to if he's willing to misrepresent his wild days of heavy drinking and partying under oath, then would he not do the same for sexual assault. I'd have much less of an issue with him if he said I was a binge drinker and big partier, and I've done a lot of stupid stuff that can be attributed to immaturity, however, there is nothing in the realm of sexual assault.
Why try to downplay and misrepresent something as minor as being a party animal?

My take was he was making out he was a casual beer drinker.
Oct 3, 2018, 5:08 PM

All evidence points to he was a pretty heavy partier, which there is absolutely nothing wrong with, and he was part of some stupid situations due to drinking. However, why did he feel the need to paint the image that he was just a casual drinker.
I prefer someone who is confident enough to admit they've done stupid things. Things that you regret and you learned from. Then accentuating that there's never been anything close to sexual assualt.
He's obviously led a pretty successful life and was a great student so it's not like he's a raging acolholic. Just get the feeling he wasn't comfortable admitting there was some crazy out of control partying going on.
Again, my personal take. So take it, or, leave it.

Ok. But there is proof he lied under oath in the past. There is proof he behaved in a manner totally inappropriate for a congressional hearing. There is proof he's got troubling positions on executive power.
That's all I need. There are plenty of qualified conservatives. Pass on him and go for that woman who was on the short list. She seemed like a fine choice. Hell, just about anyone would be better than this nut.

You can find it easily. He testified in 2004 (I believe) that he hasn't been involved in Judge Pryor's nomination. Emails prove otherwise.
The only reason we have Kavanaugh is so he can protect Trump. Conservatives don't care about about getting the most qualified candidate.

is protecting the "advise and consent" duty of the Senate from the hateful, lowdown, gutter dwelling, no holds barred, scorched earth, character assassination of the left.
Your side says that this is no different that refusing a Garland vote. Ask Garland if he would like to trade places with Kavanaugh. I think his answer would tell you all you need to know.
Kavanaugh should be confirmed for no other reason than to show the left that this theatrics will not be tolerated in a free society.
this is not about Kavanaugh as a judge. Remember the left was opposed before they even knew who was going to be nominated.
I cannot wait for the next vacancy on the court to watch you continue to show the American public how despicable you are
Like me or not, I would ram him through the Senate with no lube. I may even use baby powder and a little salt.

You're a liar and a creep. Jesus man, do you live and die by responses to the drivel you post here?
You're a liar because you know that Kavanaugh lied about the Pryor stuff and then you claimed it was BS.
Why do you guys lie and then get so upset about being called out? Just don't do it.

you've shown your stripes, so we can move on.
But know that you're a lightweight on here. You think you make good points, but they're normally shallow and repeats of talking points. Rarely have you shown to have a real grasp of an issue. There are plenty of folks on here I disagree with a lot, but respect their opinions because they're normally well thought out/reasonable. You're aren't one of them.
Everything one needs to know about you and your approach to this kind of stuff is told here:
"Why do you guys lie"...who is "you guys"?
And earlier "All republicans are morons"...that's 3rd grade level thinking there. I doubt you could find me ever saying "all democrats are morons".
Anyways.... He didn't lie about Pryor...you're just repeating what you've heard...or you're an idiot (maybe both?). Cam posted a take on that very issue below your post...of course you didn't reply...that's your normal MO when shown you're wrong or shown a credible alternate viewpoint.
He's the link again...

Thanks for the right wing rag's take on it. I read it from the primary source, so I don't need a summary that's meant to tell right wingers what they want to hear.
I love how you make your ad hominem attacks long winded, as if that makes them more special than just calling someone a name and getting it over with.
Anyway, you seem to actually believe it, so I will take back my "liar" charge. My apologies. You're just stupid.

are you able to do that on your own?
If the piece didn't get it right....then point out why?

and you responded by calling me a liar...and then a liar and creep.
Then, amusingly, you said I like to make ad hom attacks. LOL...you're really too much.

So you deny you made an ad hominem attack?
Wouldn't be surprising. A Republican is rarely willing to back up what he says.
And my point was that you make your attacks so long winded. If you could read, you'd have known that already.
Also, I thought you were moving on. You're failing every way you turn around here.

and it's because you started down that road.
It's also funny that you're focused on ad hom attacks, when it's clear you threw the first couple out there.
You're a joke man...but not the ha ha kind. <- ad hom attack
You talk around in circles of stupidity and you can't even keep up with your own conversation.

Joeseoh is not interested in the truth or expanding his thinking. You're wasting your time in him and a dozen others who frequent this board.

So simply acknowledge and accept your behavior as a youth
Oct 3, 2018, 9:31 AM
|

And young adult. There’s no need to diminish or deny youthful transgressions especially when there is meritorious behavior as an adult. It is the denial of facts from one’s past that question a person’s present integrity.
There are many people that partied hard in their youth - drugs, alcohol and sexual pursuit. Don’t tell me you didn’t inhale when we know #### well you did. Don’t tell me you weren’t a privileged, obnoxiously drunk frat boy when when we know #### well you were. In both cases, the denial is a lie.

How about if there isn't meritorious behavior as an adult?

I mean this person may have had A LOT of youthful transgressions, and basically, became as just as average and unremarkable as almost everyone else?
Asking for a friend.

Sexual assault on minor if they were disrobed when you shot them.
See how easy this is.
