Can someone explain team why the inflated ball

Is an advantage for one team and not the other team since they are both using the same balls?


i can see a way where this is an advantage if the patriots prepared all week with the under pressurized ball so there is a familiarity with it among the qb, rb, and potentially the receivers. If this is the case, then they do deserve missing few first round picks for few years as a penalty to the team.

Can u see any other way they may have gotten an advantage ?

I never played football so this might be a dumb question

Two things that don't make sense to me. First how many times does the linebacker even touch a ball to notice the difference. Secondly at least two refs touch the ball after every play so how come they didn't notice the difference. Just does not make sense.
