Discussing the South Carolina Gamecock's record against the ACC (American Cupcake Conference as they call it). Told them that Carolina had a losing record against the ACC, so they looked it up. So funny to hear them go down the results in order. Finally, one of them told the guy at the computer to just shut up.
Coot: "No way we have a losing record against the American Cupcake Conference. Here, I'll tell you what our records are".
Me: "I already know your record. You're not going to like what you find".
Coot:
Boston College - we never played them
Clemson - 42-66(mumble, mumble)
Duke - 17-24 (Me: you have a losing record against DUKE)
Florida State - 3-16
Georgia Tech - 9-12
Louisville - never played
*Maryland - 11-17
Miami - 6-8
North Carolina - 18-34
NC State - 27-26 (Me: Finally, I was beginning to wonder if you had a winning record against anyone)
* Notre Dame - 1-3
Pitt - 1-3
Virginia 21-12
Virginia Tech - 11-7
Wake Forest - 34-20 (Me: Ya'll lost 20 games to WF? Really)
Me: So... The mighty Gamecocks have a losing record against about 70 percent of the ACC teams.
Coot: Well, it doesn't matter, we're in the SEC now.
Me; Yep, and the mighty Gamecocks have a losing record against 75 percent of SEC teams.
Gotta love it!
