Why is no one talking about the possibility of

Chris Holtmann from Butler, who gives every team he faces a hard time, recruits well, has posted 22 win plus seasons in succession, beat Villanova twice this year home and away, and will face UNC this coming weekend. Holtmann's team has given every team they have faced a difficult time with outstanding coaching from start to finish in his games and maximizes his player's utilization.....Having originally started out at Gardner-Webb, I believe, he just might be ripe for Clemson and the ACC for years to come.....Would not surprise me at all if Butler defeats UNC this coming weekend at all!!!! DRAD, are you watching him?????

Why would he leave Butler

a better program in a great basketball league; a school with a brand; in the Sweet 16; recently off 2 championship game appearances; whose last coach left for the NBA; for Clemson?

Sure you explore it, but that's not very realistic

I agree but couldn't we test the waters and see? He may appreciate the challenge Clemson would give.

Oh I agree

Heck, give Brad Stevens and Jay Wright a phone call. But unless we go the veteran coach route, we know it's likely an up and coming mid major guy, not a guy at a successful program in a major league

Umm...I'm thinking that's who CBB was when we hired him?

You could give him a significant raise. He surprisingly doesn't make a ton of money there. Brad Stevens never did, either.

But we aren't changing coaches this offseason, so none of this really matters.

Butler is a better job many would say*****

because drad decided to keep bb?

Mar 21, 2017, 2:19 PM

###?

my view differed from drad's, but i'm a clemson fan first and foremost..so i want brad to win every time his clemson team takes the court.

Cannot believe that Butler is a better overall situation for him in the long run.....The opportunity to coach a solid ACC school in the best basketball conference year in and year out......could end up in basketball just like Dabo and his satisfaction here.....Need an young upstart like Holtmann with outstanding recruiting and teaching coaching assistants......His players perform on arrival.......gets results each year..... great opportunity for him at this point in his career!!!!!! Need I say more?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Have you looked at Butlers success vs Clemson success?

Mar 22, 2017, 11:56 AM

How could you possibly think we're a better overall situation?

I think the coach from the team they just beat would be more realistic. Kermit Davis at MTSU. He has a heck of a program built and he recruits close to our area already.

Butler is a MUCH better job than Clemson

Mar 22, 2017, 12:05 PM

We need youn guy that is going to hit the recruiting trail hard and willing to outwork everyone.

All are valid reasons why Holtmann should be our man!!!! Just watch and see how Butler handles UNC this weekend!!!! Then respond!!!!
