and I've never in my life seen anything like this. I've seen kids waffle and flip but to jerk a school and coach around like this is absolutely a new level of ###. Muschamp should bite the bullet and tell him his offer is off the table.

Muschamp is 100% in a lose lose situation if they don't improve dramatically next season.
This situation is making things much worse for him.
If he waits for the kid and takes him, then he is "letting the program fall behind talented players and can't control them".
If he pulls the offer then he will be told, "you were in no position to refuse a 5 star talent, so it's your fault you're not getting better".
His only hope at this point is to get Burch on board and hope he creates some more wins for the team.

Muschamp's being made to look foolish on another level separate from wins and losses. At some point you have to save what face you have left. If he allows this it'll set a precedent and compromise him from now till he retires. He's not really in a position from a record standpoint to tell the kid('s mom) to crap or get off the pot, but I believe I'd have to.

and that's not going to change with or without Burch.
No self-respecting coach would permit a kid and/or his family to string them along like this.
If they are this much of a PITA now, how much worse are they likely to get.
