Bryant vs Lawrence - First 3 Drives Each Game

It's fair to assume part of Dabo's decision was not just which QB has done better overall but further which QB has started the fastest. As everyone knows momentum is key, and all teams desire to start strong and get it on their side. Looking at the first 3 drives of each QB in the first 4 games we find:

Bryant led the team to 3 TD's and 1 FG on his drives.
He had 1 Int, and 1 Lost Fumble

Lawrence led the team to 7 TD's and 1 FG in his drives.
He had 1 Int.


Every way you look at this decision it was the right one by far. With Dabo's remark that KB was going to continue to play a lot it is hard to understand why KB reacted so dramatically. He really didn't lose the starting job in the classic definition he just lost being first in the starting rotation. Really like he is still costarter.

I know there is a ton behind the scenes we don't know as fans but it is just so out of character for KB to act the way he did. I imagine part of it was all of the pressure that built up since the Alabama game that just all came out at once. Up to that point KB never showed any signs of being bothered by the situation. Such an unfortunate ending. I certainly give KB credit for all the good he did his 4+ years at Clemson.

But it's time for the LAW to come down on our enemies. Go Tigers!
