They finally made a great hire. His team's are tough as nails and very balanced, with an old school flare. He should get things going well up there. Like Cutcliffe at Duke.

Wow I think he only won like two games last year. Pretty bad. Maybe he will do a lot better this year.

I think this will a good fit for UVA. He will never get the talent at UVA to compete for the division every year, but he will build a solid program.

They have always got really good RBs and Bronco's teams have a nice passing game to complement the running game, then play hard nosed D. Really good fit for them. They will compete and the UVA/VT state rivalry will be fun to watch, with Fuente @ VT, imo.

Virginia has been a doormat for too long. They are overdue to be back on the map. People forget when Shawn Moore & Herman Moore had them in the top 5 and if Shawn Moore wouldn't have gotten injured they had a great shot at a National Title. I want to see a strong ACC.

Absolutely. I was just thinking that it had been since Welsh that they had a good coach. AL Groh was overrated, imo.

probably the best UVA ever had, but he would build a big lead on teams and then go conservative and lost several games because of it. I'll never forget how UVA built a 28-7 lead against the so called 1990 UPI national champion Ga Tech team and then totally blowing it in the 2nd half, losing 41-38. Also, who could forget the 1992 Clemson game with the Tigers trailing 28-0 and coming back and winning it 29-28. I do hope Bronco will bring back UVA to be a respectable team again. The 1st game I ever went to was a Clemson-UVA game in 1966. UVA blew an 18 point half-time lead in that one, also. Clemson won 40-35. I was hooked for life as a Tiger fan after that.

I will never forget hearing the hyped announcer, "Aaron Mundy in the house," as UVA went up big on us that game, then the Tigers made him eat those words.

out of the areas. Groh and London seemed to do pretty good job on recruiting, but failed to coach the players to their potential.
Bronco Medenhall has a few 5-star players from Mike London’s class, but still has a tough time connecting with high school coaches in Virginia and nearby states. That’s his challenge.
