to maintain chemistry or connection between 2 players as they were both 3rd string? It was pretty interesting I thought. Looks like Chase figured out pretty quickly that he's best served throwing to Renfrow amd Tee.

I wondered that too. Also like Blackledge said it would have helped to throw on earlier downs and maybe surprise them

no matter who is in at QB. It's pretty bad even when the announcers know we are going to run, run, pass on 3rd down.

When we're picking up 6-7 ypc, I'd run all day on 1st down. You can call anything in the playbook when you have a 2nd or 3rd and short. 1st downs are critical in getting positive yards.

After a QB just transferred and the new 1st string QB went down with a serious injury, I doubt the play calling was that nuanced at that point. Just sayin'.

of a game we are losing and the first 2 passes go his way? I think that was very intentional, and smart. Much like how Hunter Johnson and Tee Higgens came as a pair into games last year. These two know their timing bc they spend their practices working on routes together.

I noticed this as well when he came in, and I agree 100%. It was no accident bringing in a guy that Brice is familiar with to get him some quick confidence. I'm not sure that it really worked, but I like the call. Seemed like a good plan to me.
