Found the first part of this article interesting. I knew that McMurphy was laid off by ESPN but had no idea they were still paying him...

The only reason McMurphy was able to do his work and post it on social media was that he was still being paid by a huge news network (ESPN). Facebook and twitter don't pay for news and those reporters aren't going to do their work for free. McMurphy will land a job at another (moderate size) news network as soon as his contract with ESPN expires. Unfortunately for us, it'll probably be behind an internet paywall like The Athletic.

I love how he’s making ESPN still pay him. Why would he bother trying to get another job and kill the contract? Respect for Brett.

I love that story! The karma of it all, the perfect transition into a new gig, etc...

I always liked him and his stories around CFB. Seemed authentic.

Just seems like a lot of if’s , maybe’s, possibly or may have known, the word allegations has been used a lot but so far I have seen no trail leading to Urban Meyer. Maybe he is guilty as sin but so far Brett McMurphy is doing a lot of speculation and could have should have language. If UM know for sure why want Brett Mc say it that way instead of dancing around a firm Yes UM knew and I have the proof.

There is no 100% proof that Shelly Meyer told Urban. At least I have not scene it yet. I have not scene anything that proves without a doubt OSU or Urban Meyer knew enough to fire Zack Smith w/o openings themselves update to a lawsuit from Z Smith. Her family sure wanted him to keep his job. Now that he is out of a job. Is she looking for a big payoff from OSU or FU??

Rarely are we afforded the luxury of 'without a doubt' or a 'smoking gun.' Trials in court or in social media are based a lot on 'appears' and 'possibly' and 'a reasonable person would expect'..... Preponderance on evidence and all that. Many convictions are circumstantial.

I'm not a lawyer but I scored a 165 on the LSAT in 2003 when I was thinking of going back to school and I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last month.
