They think that recruits get additional stars after they recruit to us. Meanwhile all Clemson fans know it's the opposite. lol

I don’t mind picking up stars. It means more to me if a guy is offered by us, Bama, and OSU than what the nerdy experts at some website say. I trust paid coaches more than guys who have a hobby as a job.

Most programs think this way. The exceptions might be Alabama, Ohio State and Oklahoma.

IMHO, there's no agenda against any program. When a 4* or 5* commits somewhere, they need to keep the online hits coming. The best way to make that happen is move uncommitted players up and committed players down. Keeps the interest going and makes sense. It's a business. ????

I thought ND would try to get further away from Clemson and Bama. Those interactions haven't gone well for the Irish.

This makes a lot of sense. It explains how all of our recruits haven't been producing results the last few years. Despite of all our recruits being 5 star, they actually missed playing in the championship game one of the last 4 years - clearly over-rated!!!!
