Whitehurst will be starting no way he would miss this game.

I don't like this approach to news coverage.

This is a Clemson website. Here's how the news from Coach Bowden on Charlie's shoulder should be covered.

"Coach Bowden announced yesterday that he remains unsure of his starting QB for this Saturday's game with South Carolina. Charlie Whitehurst, the senior, expeienced playcaller has been troubled by sore shoulder for weeks. It is not clear if Whitehurst can go Saturday or how effective he might be if he can get the start. Will Proctor is the backup QB and was forced into duty against Duke two weeks ago as a result of Whitehurst's sore shoulder.........

I don't know why Dan Scott would cover it any other way. The 'wink wink, he smiled" approach seems disloyal to me.

I think whitehurts will start, but Poctor may come in early or late if he's getting banged, but it's a 50% chance he'll play every snap.
