He does have a lot of connections in SC but I'm not so sure that means positive connections. Outside of the Byrnes fanbase, I think he's managed to rub quite a few HS coaches the wrong way. And the way he left Byrnes, I'm not so sure he's as well liked there as he thinks either. I've met him and found him to be a real peckerhead, quite honestly.

I remember watching his Byrnes team play Aiken High School

It was a playoff game. Aiken High was obviously over matched, and Byrnes continued to run the score up well into the 4th quarter, including a few trick plays. The Aiken High crowd started turning on the offensive coordinator who was sitting on top of the press box (that's how Aiken High had their stadium set up). The offensive coordinator started yelling back at the fans, telling the crowd that it wasn't his job to stop Byrnes, it was the defenses job. The next play was a deep pass down the sideline to stretch a 40 point lead. That's all I really needed to know about Bobby Bentley.

He'll be trouble down there, that's why he's never been offered a position at Clemson, Jeff Scott was on his staff one year at PC.

Had a nephew that played for PC when he was the HC. He had trouble landing instate recruits, and routinely got his #### kicked. He decided to take his ball and go home, and left alot of those players in the lurch.

He was 'asked' to leave due to the Co Ed problem

Like I said, back when everyone thought he'd wind up at Clemson,JS knew what had happened at PC. During that time at PC, 3 Profs/Coaches were shown the door for this same thing.
