Last in the SEC is actually the natural place for the coots.

Defensive end Ron Johnson Jr. of Camden, N.J., a major South Carolina target, committed Thursday to Michigan while on an unofficial visit with the Wolverines.
Johnson attended the Gamecock Showcase camp earlier this month and spoke highly of the Gamecocks at that time, saying they were at the top of his list along with Michigan.
Johnson had planned to name a top five in July and carry the recruiting process on into the fall, but that was before Thursday’s commitment. His decision could also impact teammate and USC receiver target Brad Hawkins Jr., who also has USC and Michigan at the top of his list. Hawkins and Johnson have said they would like to play together in college.
It is still possible Johnson will take other official visits, including one to USC. He was joined on the visit by another USC target, tight end Naseir Upshur of Philadelphia.

I have no idea how you can actually write a recruiting

column and call South Carolina "USC." Without context I'm going to assume that's Southern Cal every time i see it, especially in an article that also mentions Michigan and recruits from NJ and Philly. The inclusion of those places makes the article national in scope and, nationally, USC = Southern Cal. USC standing for South Carolina is regional... like the state of South Carolina regional.

I hope I don't get thumbed down here....
Remember Dabo use to recruit like this. I remember Nkemdechie was suppose to help us get three other players. We ended up with two of those four players in Schusssler and Gallman. Then he begun the process of Clemson. It doesn't get us a lot of recruiting news but it gets us more accurate commits. I will take it instead of "house of cards" recruiting.

The other two were Carter and Kamara. Kamara

went to Ole Miss with Nkemdiche and Gallman + Carter came to Clemson. I'm sure trying to land Nkemdiche was part of the equation but those other guys were legit prospects that warranted recruiting on their own with the possible exception of Carter.

"It is still possible Johnson will take other official visits, including one to USC." (Jr.)
If he hasn't already decooted, that visit to Cracklumbia will seal the decootment. Unless he just likes the "WWII Europe after the Blitzkrieg" Aesthetics surrounding the facilities.
