What Clemson football players would you put in this category? To me, it takes a combination of on the field play, and off the field love and positive representation of the school, as well as how the player personally conducts themselves. With those criteria, I immediately come up with 4 names. Please feel free to add to the list with your own reasons why.
Deshaun Watson: The GOAT, on the field performance a given. Off the field, you couldn't ask for a nicer young man to represent our great school. He started out his pro career by giving back, donating his first game check to cafeteria workers who lost their homes due to hurricanes. He always is Class personified.
Tajh Boyd: Guts personified. Nobody could ever question his physical toughness, although Clowney tried. I will always remember that last drive during the LSU bowl game as being the seminal moment where we finally turned the corner, and began consistently winning against top competition under Dabo. The fact that it came nearly one year to the day after the West Virginia debacle made it that much more amazing. Tajh still wears his Clemson heart on his sleeve to this day, and we love him back for it.
C.J. Spiller: Nobody ever poured more heart and soul into the program than Lightning. More "How did he do that?" plays than any other player in history that I can think of. The swing pass against Ga. Tech when he juked two Tech guys out of their shoes with only two yards of sideline to work with comes immediately to mind. I was sitting on that side watching it live, then the replay on the Jumbotron, and still don't believe he was able to do that. To this day, he continues to represent Clemson proudly, and is often seen around the program, mentoring young players whenever possible.
Hunter Renfrow: He is the epitome of Dabo Swinneys program philosophy in action. From humble walk-on to earned scholarship, to earned starters job, to National Championship hero, to Mr. Clutch whenever we have to have a play made, he is always there. His legend as a player is still being written, but I have no doubt he will be a lifetime ambassador for us for many years to come. He is seeming proof that you can in fact have a heart bigger than your body.

Ditto on all of these but no list is complete without Ben Boulware and his NATTY speech! “We’re bringing it home, baby!”

But I don't believe we win wothout his leadership on D.. especially last year. In my opinion, he will be our biggest loss in the spring.

There is no right or wrong, it is a highly subjective list. For instance, someone already named Christian Wilkins. I honestly can't believe I didn't think of him, too. He is the best combination of fun loving and opponent crushing that has ever come through the doors. And, I have no doubt he will rep Clemson well forever.

Wilkins because you can tell how much he loves Clemson

in addition to being an unbelievable football player.
Ferrell is similar and has many of the same leadership qualities.
Mitch Hyatt should be loved, but he is so quiet and doesn't seek any attention that I think we take him for granted.
Hopefully XT and Lawrence will be the next ones on that list. Ross seems headed that way as well.

I nominate Grady Jarrett and Tony Steward

Steward dealt with so much adversity, but peresevered and made it back. Great kid, too. A personal favorite.
And Grady is another one like Hunter who was not highly rated as a recruit, but was all effort, all hard work, and left it all on the field. Wayne Gallman is another one I have great respect for.
