Jimbo has to recruit better players to play in SEC-W.

In '20 his recruiting was ranked #6 in the nation, #3 in SEC-W, #4 in SEC and one of 7 SEC teams in the top ten. Was the 2nd straight year at #6.

He lost 5 games last season, 4 were to the #1 team in the nation when he played them -- Clemson, UGA, bama, LSU. Other ws to a team that was top ten, AU.

Tamu will probably catch up to the other top SEC programs -- bama, LSU, UGA, UF -- in the next few years.

For 75 mil Tamu got a coach that will make them competitive, eventually. He won't be able to dominate those other coaches/programs.

Oh, I'm not a Jimbo fan, know he left FSU in bad shape, just know he is a very good coach altho not quite elite, and that he has virtually unlimited resources and a fantastic recruiting area to help him.

Time will tell.

But, I put him in the Urban Meyer category. Good coach for short term; horrible coach to build a program.

I suspect in the next two to three years he will win the SEC-W. I suspect within 5 years after that, aTm will be looking for another coach.
