Yale is a great school academically. Clemson is a good school academically. Hard to fault this decision.

This is insanity to think things are gonna improve with Brownell-he simply CANNOT RECRUIT AT THIS LEVEL!!! Patience with a coach is one thing but this is agonizing-BRING BACK LARRY SHYATT lol!

you have no idea what his criteria are and I get you don't like BB. Hopefully Tiger fans will support the basketball program while you criticize someone without knowing any facts.

That would seem to negate any idea of it being tough , academically. So , is their hoops team on the uptick ?

Sweet young southern girl to basketball players at a noisy bar: "Where do y'all go to school?"
Basketball players reply: "Yale ... "
Sweet young southern girl repeats: "WHERE DO Y'ALL GO TO SCHOOL!"

Going to take the best university getting behind the program when they are not great to make really good recruits want to come. Just let a recruit read us complaining and showing no faith in this program. We were down before Tommy Bowden came in but we stood behind the football team. We filled the stadium with fans and recruits wanted to come because we believed in the program. To be a consist in basketball in a tough conference, we have to stand behind this program. When Chad went to SMU he had very little talent but the Alumni and fans are behind him.
If we lose our coach now it's going to set us back again for four to six years. This is my opinion & I don't expect others to feel the same way but it hurts that the best school ever has lost so much hope in this program that we will be what these NC schools say we are, a cellar dweller when that's not the Clemson I know.
Go Tigers turn the corner and be in the dance every year!

Or is it only that they don't value merit with their "no merit scholarships" mantra?
