Baseball coaches at home plate

Why do we always see pictures of baseball coaches with umpires at home plate pointing at something. What could they possibly be explaining that everyone there doesnt already know about?

they are discussing the "grounds rules" for that stadium. things like what is in play and out of play for that stadium.

Monte was pointing to where Beer was going to knock the ball out of the park. The coot was pointing to where the fans would be throwing the bottles from. Jack was pointing at the Tigernet haters!

I love baseball, I was at the 2nd game Saturday... I know the reason they meet at the plate and talk, I was just always curious about the coaches pointing and the looks on the faces of the people looking at whatever the coach was pointing at. They always seem to be looking at something they've never seen before or didnt know about and I didnt know what that could be.
Like I knew it couldnt be "The foul pole is there and the bullpen is there"
So then what the heck are they pointing at? I see a similar picture all the time.
What a previous poster said about what is in play and out of play, that made sense since that would be different at each park in regards to some field details. Anyway, I was curious.
