He deserves it. Got this team playing good baseball the first two years. An ACC Championship, two regional hosts including a national rank. Unfortunately we ran into a buzzsaw in 2016 with Oklahoma State and their pitching.
I'm very confident Monte will have us back in Omaha consistently in the near future. He's done a real good job recruiting, and if the arms hold up in 2018 we have enough trusted guys to fill out a pretty solid rotation and a pretty deep bullpen. The combination of Davidson, Beer, and Williams could be one of the best 3-4-5 stretches in all of college baseball in 2018 so if the bats fill in around those 3 we can be special.

Pretty excited about this Hawkins guy. I am curious where he fits in, whether he steals a corner infield spot, a corner outfield spot or slides into the DH role. He can hit.

Was kind of hoping to see him in the outfield so Williams can slide to 1st and keep Wilkie's bat in the lineup at Catcher. But there's a reason why I'm not donning the skipper cap and making $500k/year.

I have a good feeling about this season, I think we will have leaned from our poor showings down the stretch last year. Could very well take home 2 major nattys in 2018!
