225 bench 30 times = close to 500lb. Not bad coming out of high school

Not really 500 lbs. Max is a completely different animal. I use to (way too long ago) be able to get 225 lbs 25 to 28 times. My max was 350. Maxing out is something that you have to devote time to just that. What doing 225 that many times means is he has strength combined with endurance but getting your max to 500 takes alot of devotion to lifting strictly heavy. He might be able to do 500 just saying 2 different things.

True, benching 30 reps thpugh is more than some defensive tackles do at the NFL combine

Watch some of Shaq Smith's Periscopes. As big as those stats make him look, he seems even bigger in person. He dwarfs anybody near him.
