Attending Football Game by Boat

Aug 9, 2017, 1:18 PM

Looking to see if anyone has arrived to a game by boat in the past year. We are looking at attending the Kent State game this year and have a place on the lake. Is there a place to dock or beach a boat to go to the game?

You can beach a boat anywhere you like , but international salvage rights and those of us who understand them might make you rethink abandoning it for even a couple hours.

Try East beach. Rowing team's home is there I believe. Some docks show up on Bing Map's Birds eye.

Walk down East Beach road towards the Doug.

Public access dock is behind the Wendy's on Tiger Blvd. Bring a chain and a lock to secure your boat to thee dock.

I live in Clemson and my in laws have a place on Hartwell. We've boated to games a few times in the past when we had a smaller boat. We beached behind the #### and walked up from there. Not a bad walk at all.

This summer we have our baby with us so we upgraded to a larger boat and I'm not sure we would be comfortable beaching it there for an extended period of time. We have boated to Esso and docked at the condo dock directly beside the #### a number of times this summer. It does say private but we haven't had a problem and there are never any boats there. With that being said gameday may be a totally different story.

Just a thought on the Wendy's dock. We haven't been that way in a while but earlier this summer the park behind Wendy's was completely dry and had been that way so long there were plants and grass growing. The lake has been really low and hasn't come up much at all so I'm not sure that dock is currently in the water at all.

my two cents would be to beach at the ####, bring a good rope to tie toe bow off to a tree with, and an aft anchor to keep from swinging as long as you are comfortable beaching your boat.
