As aggravated as I was with the secondary...

they would've been helped out tremendously by our pass rush had A&M not been allowed to flat out hold and even tackle us all night up front. If teams are allowed to do that it takes away out best asset. That ball may have been outside the pylon, but screw it, we deserved a break the way A&M was allowed to neutralize the DL.

At times, yes. But there were several plays where Mond

escaped the pocket because they were holding so bad. At least three times they flat out tackled our ends.

No doubt on the holding***

You're right on losing men in coverage though...

Sep 9, 2018, 12:10 AM

I can cite at least three times we had men in zone and man coverage on the same play due to confusion with the play calling. There were several times we failed to roll our zone with the scramble as well. Our DBs looked lost.

I actually don't think it was outside the pylon. The pylon cam clearly showed the ball going directly above it.

If it would've been that clear then they would have over turned it. I think it was to close to over turn the call................but why did Jimbo not get tossed for cussing the refs like he did? Guess it's that $EC money!

You couldn’t be more right except that if that pylon cam is on the face of the pylon, the ball went right over the top of it. If that’s out, half or more of diving catches over the pylon are out. ACC officials played scared tonight!!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They did say the play STANDS, not CONFIRMED...

Sep 9, 2018, 12:05 AM

so it would've stood however they called it. They weren't sure and thank goodness we got that call.
