There is a very weird kind of arsonist out there that's kind of like a serial killer. They're called a "pathological arsonist" or "pyromaniac" but that kind of misses the mark...basically, these people have this really unhealthy fascination with fire and while they think about burning stuff all the time they get particularly stirred up when stuff actually starts to burn for real. Right now the pyromaniacs of America are really stirred up and are just compulsively glued to all the coverage of the wildfires...and at some point some of them won't be able to take it anymore; they have to go running out in the woods and try to start some wildfires of their own.

It's unfortunately not uncommon when there's major fires going. Big wildfires draw pyros like moths draw, well, flame. Which is, of course, exactly what everyone needs...crazy people getting all excited-like and setting still more fires.

I was hoping nobody would notice I mangled that metaphor.

Sigh.

I lose. And I was too cheap to get my "R" so I can't go back and cover up the evidence either.

...and now that I think about it, it actually isn't a metaphor I mangled, but a simile I screw'd up, because I used the word "like".

Which means I lose again, and I seriously need to bail out of this thread. So with that...

There are some irresponsible people out there. The huge fire out west started by some gender revealing party launching some fireworks.
