Why isn't this apparent to everyone?!?!?

Oct 26, 2014, 2:04 PM

Including Chad Morris... Cole Stoudt was not throwing the ball well last night. Not at all. His passes lacked velocity and touch. Are both of his shoulders injured? The only TD pass should have been thrown further and with more loft. It was nearly deflected or intercepted by a shorter DB. Why in the world was this not apparent to Coach Morris during warm-ups and during the game?!?!? Or do we not have ANYONE ELSE ready to be the QB. Maybe that is it.

And note that I am NOT a Cole basher. He usually throws a better pass than he did last night.

Now we're complaining about touchdown passes. Ugh. I can't take this #### anymore.

That pass was perfect. And beautiful. Dropped it right in Seck's hip pocket.

You people astound me.

Agreed. See my STOP WHINING post from earlier. I can't handle it anymore. There is no pleasing some people. He is our backup quarterback filling in until DW gets healthy. Cole is the best among our remaining qb's.

IT IS WHAT IT IS.

How do we know that when Schuessler or Olson haven't...

played, while Stoudt has trouble getting the ball 10 yards down field.

Watch the replay of all of Cole's passes.

Oct 26, 2014, 2:18 PM [ in reply to Re: Why isn't this apparent to everyone?!?!? ]

They were not up to par. Not up to COLE'S par. Watch a replay of the pass to Seckinger. It was almost blocked because the pass lacked loft.

AND I am a fan of Cole Stoudt. I am not criticizing him. I think he was hurt beyond what he was telling the coaches and beyond what the coaches knew. I just don't know why this was not apparent to the coaches earlier in the game. They see him pass every day. Surely they noticed a difference.

The fact that the pass was almost blocked means that it WASN'T blocked!!

IT WAS A TOUCHDOWN FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!! Enjoy it!!!!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Dude, that was just one example of MANY of his passes.

Oct 26, 2014, 2:28 PM

I am just as thrilled as any TIGER fan that we scored that TD. I'm just saying that Cole was not throwing well at all ALL NIGHT LONG. A friend at the game noticed it during warm-ups. Cole was warming up with Adam Humphries. And Adam's throws back to Cole had more zip than Cole's passes. A casual observer would think that Adam was the QB.

I'm just concerned that Cole is hurt more than we know. But maybe the coaches knew it but had no other options. Hopefully Cole can heal in two weeks. I AM a Cole fan.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Dude, we won. Shut the #### up.***

what about the int he threw right to a Cuse defender...

Oct 26, 2014, 4:14 PM [ in reply to Re: Watch the replay of all of Cole's passes. ]

you gonna defend that pass

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

you mean the one where he got hit while throwing

Oct 26, 2014, 4:37 PM

Yeah, he should've taken the sack, but we'd be calling him an asschucker for that too.

Great pass with Seckinger being covered by linebacker, not DB.

Both interceptions Cole was hit in his arm

Oct 26, 2014, 2:16 PM

causing the ball to float. He was rubbing and stretching both shoulders because of the pain. All in all a gutsy performance from a player that's not close to 100%.

Re: Both interceptions Cole was hit in his arm

Oct 26, 2014, 2:30 PM

Cole was hit on practically every pass he attempted. He was drilled on the TD pass to Seckinger. He was robbed of another TD pass to Humphries.

badge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

True

Oct 26, 2014, 3:21 PM [ in reply to Both interceptions Cole was hit in his arm ]

And I'm not attacking him at all, but that second pass was gonna be intercepted no matter what. He was throwing into triple coverage to an entirely unopen receiver. But, I see no reason to knock him for gutting it out out there. I give him every ounce of credit for his effort.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-20yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's absolutely ludicrous.

Oct 26, 2014, 3:24 PM

BTW, his throwing shoulder doesn't have to be hurt for it to effect his throwing motion. Maybe he is hurting and it's effecting him.

He's still gonna give us the best chance to win, i would bet. Sheusler? Or however you spell it? He was basically a walk-on and has only been in the system for a year. The answer to your question is "NO," we really don't have another ready with the loss of Kelly in the offseason and watson earlier this year. It's not that complicated and it's certainly not the coaches fault.

Are you really soliciting information and insight or...

Oct 26, 2014, 3:31 PM

do you just want everyone to know you noticed Cole's throwing issues?

I can handle it either way.

He is giving gutsy performances and wins. Enough said.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You're over looking Dabo's sentimentality towards Cole....

Oct 26, 2014, 4:12 PM

Schuessler should have played last night, at least for a series or two. Cole Stoudt has an extremely weak arm. His arm was this weak before the injury.

Oct 26, 2014, 4:12 PM

In the UGA game were you complaining about that throw too? Are you for real?
