funny stuff there. of course he came to the ACC fairly late in his career but then proceeded to own it for about 10 years

You look at who he played before they joined the acc?
Heck the sec wasn't that much better back then anyway Fla and Tenn was the best teams and he owned Fla so NO i'm not NUTS

"I was listening to Coach Bowden speak at the FCA breakfast this morning and a lot of people don't realize how good those teams were. I think 14 straight years they were in the top 4 in the nation. That means they lost one game or they could have won a national championship every one of those years.
I think they played Miami 5 or 6 one point games, and Miami won every one of them. So he's been a tough luck coach. I mean that guy and the teams he put together at FSU, they were as good as any in the country for about 10, 12, 14 years there in a row.
Amazing record that Bobby Bowden's had and, again, I think he's a little bit of an unlucky coach as far as only having 2 national championships when he could have had 7 or 8 of them."
