Are SCar fans already starting to create excuses?

I mostly don't pay much attention to Gamecocks in social media. But I've noticed that there is a camp of those who are buying they hype about SEC East champions and another camp that is already looking for ways to excuse losses. Especially in the last game.
Example: https://twitter.com/MWReese/status/496316768672296960/photo/1
Maybe I paid a lot less attention before. It just seems like there is more second guessing among the annoying fans out on Internet-land.

Actually no, this guy is posing a question months in advance. Our biggest concern is the habit the last couple of years of dropping a game we should win, i.e Tenn. Most fans are very optimistic, but like you guys, would prefer to stay below the radar. The plus of playing A&M and UGA early is somewhat offset that if we lose to either of those two, winning SESE becomes pretty hard.
We aren't worried about the last game; streak won't go on forever and heck this may be the year you win again. But right now there is a lot of football to be played for that game.
I think 10-2 is most likely. Hard to see a win at Auburn, and then one of UGA, Clemson or Florida.

because if you are I'd be willing to bet you just about any amount you're willing to lose that $CU finishes the 2014 regular season with more than two losses. In fact, I'm projecting 9-3 or 8-4.

Being months in advance is exactly my point

I just notice viewpoints more like yours - maybe some would call them realistic - versus the typical chest pounding. And to consider there might be an injury bug over 3 months out to me looks like someone trying to find excuses. Don't mean that in the usual rival-negative way. Just find it odd it would even be questioned right now.
Seems common to worry about who may return from injury and when at any time of the season, even now if some returns are not yet obvious.

What does being a "coot" have to do with the OP using a Clemson fan twitter account to support his assertion that "coots" are making excuses?

tweets and other social media and blog posts along those lines from SCar fans. But they were days/weeks ago and I don't have the time to hunt them down.
This guy was in a convo about schedule comparisons and how SCar might be banged up. Same as I've seen across the board from Garnett & Black types. The point of comparing schedules tends to be 1) who comes in tested and 2) who still has the most starters in the game.
That's all I was highlighting.

You were still using a Clemson fan to make an assertion that "coots" were making excuses. That is tantamount to a "coot" using a "coot" post to support that Clemson is afraid of their rb situation.

I might look for the SCar posts later. Searching twitter feeds and blog posts takes a lot more time than typing on this site...
FWIW I don't use the term "coot", but I can see how that gets confusing here.

Yep, with Tenn & Fla coming off great seasons, that south bama game will most likely have them beat down before they meet us in the Valley for their Death!!!

same, NO ONE will say the other three are close.
At Auburn and hosting the Orangemen? Wake will have the weakest team they have had in years and GA State has a football history shorter than my Gamecocks 5 years of playing.
Tell me about the football passion of these programs.

Did I say anything in my post about our schedule during that 4 game stretch being stronger than SC's.
My point was that you (and many other SC fans) throw Florida and Tennessee out there like they are the same teams they were 5-10 years ago. Neither team is very good.

Auburn - legit
Florida - did you forget Georgia Southern beat them in Gainesville last year?
Tennessee - 2-6 in the SEC last year with wins over SC and Kentucky
South Alabama - cupcake just like Georgia St is for Clemson
Don't let the names of Florida and Tennessee fool you. They are mediocre teams at best.
