"exercise due care" seems like a loosly worded definition. I do not agree with people blocking traffic however, whether a protester or the govenor of NJ.

Apparently it's a frequently used legal term***

so slowly rolling your car into a mass of people, then jamming on the accelerator when they surround your car and it gets violent? How would you define that? Seems like you are asking for trouble to approach an angry mob in your car.

I have an old beater pickup truck.

May 5, 2017, 8:51 PM

I can fit a wedge on the front in place of the bumper. If riots start in NC giveme a buzz. I'm at BR549, ask for Junior.

I live in NC. It is completely and utterly dominated by a Republican 'good ole boys' system. These guys make real Republican's look bad.

I suppose it does send a message to the fruit loops that

May 6, 2017, 7:00 AM

their right to protest does not extent to the right to riot. It does not give them the right to obstruct streets and highways. It does not give them the right to obstruct other people's rights. There seems to be some confusion for them in this area.

Re: I suppose it does send a message to the fruit loops that

May 6, 2017, 7:45 PM

Your right, the freedom to assemble doesn't apply to robbing others of their rights.

But plowing through them isn't a legal way to assert your own rights. Wait till the nutjobs fires up that 4 wheel drive like Isis did in Nice, France.

It's a stupid law written by stupid men who only play to the stupid right in NC.

Re: I suppose it does send a message to the fruit loops that

May 7, 2017, 1:07 PM

It's stupid that there's not a law against standing in the middle of the road blocking traffic.

And the sad part is theres no rhyme or reason for it. Nobody is oppressed in this country in 2017.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Does that include Christians?

May 7, 2017, 2:21 PM

Cause I read a lot of stuff here complaining about the oppression of Christians.

Oppression of Christians?

I'd love to see an example of someone claiming that....

was going on, but that'd be as pointless as a klan robe in the washing machine.

Sorry it's not a capital offense yet.

Seems like it should be the drivers right to maintain the speed limit and plow through these idiots like bowling pins....

If you're standing in the middle of the road and get hit it's your own fault.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't think it works that way.

May 6, 2017, 6:37 PM

Even in North Carolina.

Exactly where in scripture do you find "mow down those who get in your way en route to McDonalds"?

What if my wife is in labor in the back the car?

What if the mob is aggressive and I fear for the well being of my wife and children?

What if I'm late for work and could lose my job?

The list goes on and on.....

It blows my mind that people actually defend these morons that should be out being productive members of society instead of backing up miles of traffic because.....

Well let's see I don't know why because nobody can ever actually tell you.
