I have never understood some of the "coaching" choice from a strictly college to NFL. That just has bad written all over it. Most great college coaches make great failures as NFL coaches unless they had decent amount of NFL success before going to the college route and then back. Coughlin, Carroll, Davis, etc. Mostly, the college part was a diversion from mostly NFL career.
Who was the last true college coach (without any real NFL experience) to make a successful jump, Jimmy Johnson? Bobby Ross?
As for Dabo, I think his greatest strength would be nixed at the NFL. There is not one game his kids are less than 110% motivate. However, with the NFL, "motivation" ins't a thing for the most part. Sure it exist but it takes a backseat to tactical decisions... such as electing for a 20+ beatdown to minimize player minutes to specific personnel.

Dabo pretty much makes all the decisions regarding recruiting, personnel hires, development, facilities,
schemes, lineups, in-game decisions, etc. Also, he's the face of the team and the university. He's exactly what he went to school for (MBA)....he's the CEO. And from all accounts, he absolutely loves it. In the National Fools League, he would be reduced to a beggar, imploring his players to try hard, putting up with impetuous owners, impatient fans, unforgiving local and national media, and in all likelihood, coaching a mediocre team. Most of the choices he could make in college would be stripped. Oh sure, he would make more money. But I don't think Dabo sees that as his goal in life. I don't think he's leaving any time soon. The morons who start these rumors are, well, morons.
