TV broadcasters mentioned Ian Book social media post that said the "circle got smaller" after Jurkovec transferred from Notre Dame to Boston College.

I don't know for sure. I am assuming it is referring to something like the circle of friends or circle of trust (nod to Fokkers movies). As in Jurkovec was no longer in Book's circle.
