Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

Anyone know avg ACL healing time?

Apr 13, 2013, 5:57 PM

Could he be ready by mid-season?

Clemson

9-12 months unless you're Adrian Peterson...

Apr 13, 2013, 6:07 PM

Then it's two weeks.

I hope it's not torn. I hate to that happen.

Seriously doubt it? I had a complete tear on my ACL

Apr 13, 2013, 8:41 PM

and partial tear on my MCL, along with shredded meniscus...and I was back to playing Ultimate Frisbee in 7 months fully without worrying about my knee. And I'm not nearly at the caliber athlete NCAA scholarship athletes are, and I didn't have personal trainers.

My brother has torn both of his ACLs and his average recovery has been 6-8 months.

ACL surgery repair and recovery is getting quicker and quicker.

I tore my MCL/ACL skiing out west last month still trying to obtain full ROM prior to surgery. Ironically enough, I'm getting the Georgia Tech team physician to do the honors here in Atlanta (will tell him I bleed orange - or maybe not!) Great to hear that you were good to go after 7 months. Ready to get past this. I feel badly for CK.

From a torn ACL, probably close to a year.

Ain't google a wonderful thing???

approximately how long does it take for a torn ACL to heal?

Approximately how long does it take for a torn ACL to heal?

Approximately 6 months to return to sports that involve cutting and pivoting (basketball, football, soccer, etc.). And then you aren't fully recovered. Things such as running can be done without a repaired ACL, but you can usually get back to them in 2 months. To fully heal and return to normal takes about a year. It's tough to gain all of your strength back as well, that could take years, or never happen.

This is rather disheartening to say the very least. We as Tiger Nation need to pray for this young mans speedy (and complete) recovery.

Now!! It is time for Cole to work REALLY hard to fine tune his game and be a leader for the 2nd string!

Positives can come of this, so stay strong, focused and committed Tigers. Your dream season awaits!!

Go Tigers!!

QB rich

Apr 13, 2013, 8:04 PM

This is one reason it's good to be deep at QB. Kelly would be a starter at many schools but here losing him could potentially have zero effect. To be honest I was hoping Stoudt would win the job for next year since I think he deserves it after being a high quality backup all this time.

Luckily for us we have a solid #1 and #2 QB and chances are if we had to resort to going to #3 this season it would probably already be a bust.

Luckily for Kelly and Clemson Kelly will probalby have enough time to be ready to play next season, hell he'll probably be ready (physically) by the end of the season.
