Anyone else hate June and July?

Every year I dread the summer, and not just because the only sports on are garbage(except for the WC, I rather enjoy it.) It’s hot. It’s crowded if you try to go anywhere. Prices shoot up because everyone is going somewhere.

And worst of all, Gamecock excitement builds to stupifying levels. I know in my heart reality will come crashing down on their hopes and dreams. But it’s like 120 years of garbage football doesn’t exist.

Jake Bentley for Heisman?! Are you kidding me?! SEC East Champs?! And this year they added extra hype to the “we’ll beat Clemson this year” mantra. Apparently we are on the way down? ?????

Come on August! Literally counting the days till camp starts. Can’t wait to hear Dabo talk up some guy who will rarely play! (He does it every year. It’s gotta be a motivational tactic.)

I agree with most of this. Hate the summer months because there is nothing to watch...

Ive heard the SEC East stuff and the Clemson stuff, but I dont think I've seen anyone say Bentley for heisman. Lol I've seen people think he leaves after this year for the NFL (which is almost as absurd) but I think my sides would split open if I see a bentley for heisman anywhere.

Sports are tough, gamecocks are idiots and I don’t acknowledge their existence regardless of the month.

I use the beach and the golf course to make time pass. Seems to work pretty well.

I don't know why coot excitement would be worst of all. Maybe since I don't live in SC I don't get bombarded with it, but the excitement from afar is the best. It just sets them up that much more for the crash when reality sets in.

I love the summer. Great to get outside and do things. Lots of lake time. I can’t believe the “there’s nothing to watch”. Get outside and do something fun.
