Anybody watch the LLWS game last night? Dissapointing

to see kids act like that toward the ump with no repercussions from the coaches.
I didn't agree with a few of those calls either but you still don't act like that.

When i was that age i acted the same way because i expected more from the umpire not because i was spoiled or lacked manners. Those kids were ultra competitive and got hosed royally by an umpire who had no idea what a consistent strike zone was. I used to umpire so i'm aware of what to give as far as pitching goes and you do not give a foot and a half off the plate to kids are able to hit spots throwing 70mph.

Yes, there were some bad calls as I said above....

However, you don't act like that. You let your coaches take care of it.
I'm ultra competitive myself and was as a child at that age, but you are supposed to know better.

I agree it's the coach's responsibility and they did settle the kids down, but it was hard to hear in the background.

Well from the looks of the score it looked like the girl got rocked, so maybe I won't hear about her as much.... As far as kids acting poorly towards blue, just bc they're kids doesn't mean the ump shouldn't be held accountable.... But I'm sure everyone got trophys, they're all winners, blah blah blah

you're right the ump should be held accountable, however,

it's on the coaching staff not the players to berate/act out towards the ump.
if it happens anywhere else they potentially get tossed.
as for everyone winning, etc. screw that noise, you don't win when you lose. wussification of the US.

the kids with the worst attitudes were always coached by the adults with the worst attitudes. At that age they are only acting out what they see and hear around them.

You have to have been nitpicking if you thought any of what they did was over the top. As long as they're not yelling at and berating the ump, it's good to see a little emotion shown when a bad call is made.

Emotion is one thing, stomping around and throwing your hands up and pointing at the UMP(with your bat) while saying something in his direction is uncalled for.
