Putting your ear to railroad tracks seemed to be our best way to hear updates on the games, back in the day. Of course I had to walk 3 miles in the snow with holes in my shoes and no jacket just to be able to do that.

I can remember Jim building a fire next to the "Y" above Riggs Field and sending smoke signals every time the Tigers scored.

The Wake Forest game in '81 nearly wore the poor flag guys out. Before that we tried "jungle drums" but the band would start playing and the drumline would eff everything up.
