Kornblut's Comment About RN Committing....

Jun 15, 2012, 12:45 PM

Notice the comment in The State today from Kornblut:

"Clemson had a whirlwind 18 hours of football recruiting capped Thursday night by the news that the nation’s top rated player BY SOME ANALYSTS, defensive end Robert Nkemdiche of Loganville, Ga., had committed to the Tigers while at Dabo Swinney’s camp."

What's this BY SOME ANALYSTS comment? Have you seen any rating service/publication that doesn't have RN as the nation's top recruit?

Here's yet another example of Kornblut trying to minimize and downplay a success at Clemson.

He is an idiot. I refuse to listen to his "show"...

..regarded as a "show" BY SOME IDIOTS.

I think sporting news had max browne as their number 1 player which makes him seem like a west coast or USC homer with 2 top 10 players. Not the best ranking if you ask me

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

yes, I think there is one that has him at #2

Jun 15, 2012, 12:53 PM

not sure who right now though

Sporting News has him #2

Defensive end Robert Nkemdiche, the No. 2 prospect in Sporting News' Top 125 ranking of prep football players, committed to Clemson on Thursday evening.

Nkemdiche is a 6-5, 260-pounder from Loganville, Ga. He picked Clemson over hometown Georgia, Alabama and LSU, among other schools.

Clemson-centric website TigerIllustrated.com first reported the decision.

SN recruiting expert Brian McLaughin compares Nkemdiche to 2011 super-recruit Jadeveon Clowney, who made an impact at South Carolina as a freshman with his blend of size and speed.

Nkemdiche is the third player from Grayson High School to commit to the Tigers—defensive back David Kamara and running back Wayne Gallman are the other two.

According to 247Sports.com, Clemson went hard after Nkemdiche over the past few months. The website also reported Nkemdiche gave his pledge during a three-day visit to the school.

There's always going to be that one or two who just likes to ruffle feathers (pun intended). But he's listed as the conscensus No. 1 and those "analysts" aren't really analysts. Kornblut's opinion doesn't count.

Kornblut is probably the ONE analyst

Jun 15, 2012, 1:06 PM

He did have him rated number one but due to some developments yesterday he has dropped to somewhere below SCAR's highest-rated commitment.

Any way you slice it RN is a CONCENSUS #1prospect.

Jun 15, 2012, 3:55 PM

There's always going to be a statistical outlier in any survey you do. Stats....yeah, good memories there.

Is that some sort of tally of convicts? Or did you mean consensus?
