Small Honda or Yamaha. They are very quiet. Google them.

+1 They are pricey, but you will NOT regret it.***

Yes...use a deep cycle marine battery

Oct 3, 2012, 12:57 PM

It's cheaper, it does not require the use of any gasoline, and it is completely silent.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

This is a good suggestion as long as you can remember to charge them before hand.

Other than this either Honda or Yamaha like others have said.

Unless you are just looking....

for an excuse to drop between $750 and $1,200 on a generator you may or may not use for other things besides tailgating, then the marine battery is definitely the better way to go IMO.

As a side note, I have one of the Yamaha generators but I do not use it for tailgating.

I have had the Honda 1000 and presently use the Yamaha EF 1000 and the EF 2000. There is not a quieter more efficient or reliable generator than the Yamaha.
EF 1000 47 db. EF 2000 52 db.
