Greg McElroy was asked if players these days are wanting to go more with the young, fun coach?

"I think it just depends on the player and that is the beauty of college football. It's what you are in to. If you want to go to a place that is going to have Putt Putt and great music at practice and you want to have fun in the week leading up to the game then you can go to places like Florida State or Clemson. If you want to go to a place that is all about winning, all about X's and O's, all about trying to define what the values of the organization are there are places like that for you. Like Alabama, like Texas A&M, like Georgia. I think there is something for everybody."

Sometimes McElroy's comments can be taken as snarky. Including Clemson into the "all fun and games" group was not an accurate description of the Clemson football culture. No way the success against Alabama the last 4 yrs occurs if Clemson didn't take practice, film study, and a desire to win seriously. However, if most of the team figures out how to get along together, build lifetime relationships, and enjoy their college experience then in my opinion the Clemson "culture" is second to none. Oh by the way Greg, there's tough love involved too. Just ask Kelly Bryant. You compete and the best players move up the depth chart.
