Any insight why we didn't pursue James Cook

Especially after he decommitted from Florida? Dude is jacked and looks the part. I thought he was interested in Clemson at one point? Of course it looks like the Dawg bagman made Cook a priority but I think he will be a good one.

I just never heard why our coaches seemed to avoid him like the plague?

He was committed to FSU for a long time just like his brother and then visited UGA once and that was that, he decided to go with the top RB in the class instead of being close to home for his family to see. This is an almost obvious answer as to why we didn't pursue him.

There was something there that made the coaches pull back. He decommitted in July from FSU and didn't commit to UGA until late October. Plenty of time for Clemson to jump on him recruiting but if you watched we never pursued him.

Just curious if anyone knew the reason.
