Just remember that you are in a huge city and that you should always be aware of your surroundings. Stay in well lit areas with the crowd from the football game. I found this link that provides more details, but I don't know if you would be allowed to take "pepper spray" into the stadium.

I would stay within a block or two of the stadium on the south side and East of Tech Parkway/Northside drive. North of Campus is pretty good as is a good half mile to the East. Be aware of your surroundings. The game is at 3:30 so I wouldn’t have any concerns. We’ll be tailgating in a lot on Dalney St just south of 10th. It’s a pay lot so get there early. I’ll have a fizzy beverage for you if you stop by

is it safe to walk from Centennial Park to the stadium? Staying around the park and was wanting to walk.

Walk from centenn Park is not bad if you stay on the main streets. Also if you get on MARTA rail from Peachtree center near the pro and take it 2 stops to north ave you will only be 2 blocks from stadium
