Any Tiger Fans worried about NCS need to relax.

Oct 10, 2018, 9:23 AM

NCS is still unbeaten and Dabo isn't going to play games to build drama. We'll have a two score lead by halftime and somewhere in the middle of the third quarter the sound of NCS fans slamming their car doors in the parking lot will break all sound records in Clemson.

Dude, Did You Watch Clemson-NCS 2016 and 2017?

Oct 10, 2018, 9:27 AM

Thinking NCS is going to be easy is not the correct approach. Since I have been following Clemson football, NCS has been a pain in the ###. The last time NCS came to Death Valley undefeated the Wolfpack walked out with a 30-point victory. NCS has the best quarterback in the league and Clemson has been playing a steady diet of option teams. Clemson's pass defense will get severely tested.

I wouldn't consider winning 13 out of the past 14

A "pain in the ###".

They will compete, as usual, and we will win, as usual.

Given Doeren's recent comments and the magnitude of this game I would be shocked if we didn't win by 14+.

Just because we've won the close ones doesn't mean they haven't been tough...

Oct 10, 2018, 1:33 PM

We won by 1 in 2010, they whipped us in 2011, put up 48 points against us at home in 2012, made it far more interesting than it was supposed to be in 2013, had us on the ropes and took us to OT in 2016, and were ahead at verious points in the 2nd half in 2015 and 2017.

I could argue we have only beaten them "comfortably" once since 2009

They are most certainly a pain in the ###

That being said, there's no reason we shouldn't kick the snot out of them next week

What does a game that happened 15 years ago

Oct 10, 2018, 9:52 AM [ in reply to Dude, Did You Watch Clemson-NCS 2016 and 2017? ]

have to do with anything? Philip River's kid probably has kids now.

If I was suiting up I wouldn't have this attitude.***

I'd be more comfortable with a two-score lead by the end of the 1st quarter. I don't even want to think of a repeat from 2 years ago.

Me too.

Oct 10, 2018, 10:42 AM

But that's not going to happen because our coaches start the play calling slow to get a feel for how opponents' defenses are playing that day and how who has the hot hand on our offense.

I'm not saying it couldn't happen but we usually don't turn on our magnificent charm until the regrouping at quarter break.

We’ve given up a lot of big leads over the past few years but it’s because we get complacent and run the ball when our running game was just good. Now I feel like even if we get complacent with a big lead and run the ball we still score points because that’s our strength. I guess the only way to stall ourselves this weekend is to throw screens to the running backs every play Lol
