If I was a Chicken, and was about to tackle Watson ...

I would aim for the knees, cause he has an injured knee, and by tackling him there there is a good chance I would knock him out of the game.
Its a catch 22, play Watson, very good chance he gets really injured AND you end his Football career
Not play Watson, chance our offense does not do so good ....
The RIGHT thing to do is NOT play Watson. He is our future. The season "is what it is". It would be criminal to pull an "RG3" on the Lad. Hope he is fully recovered so perhaps he can play in "Bowl named after a car part or fast food item".
Try again next year.

You make a sound and well thought out point. Indeed a true " Catch 22".

They can't play him unless doctors CLEAR HIM. And Dabo has said REPEATED with other crucial players (Peake, Dye, etc.) that he won't play them unless doctors clear them and even then he's shown to be cautious in those situations.
If Watson plays, he is fine.

OP...I can't tell ya what I really think about that post...no one could read it anyway as TN does not allow that kind of language. I'll end up cussing someone like you out at the game Sat. though. Moron.

Then according to the rules, as I understand them, you have no right to comment here since you aren't a CU alumni.

By the way the Germans did not bomb Pearl Harbor. So now not only do I question you graduating from Harvard but also high school.

So you're saying our doctors map-practice? Assuming that they clear him to play in the USC game, he is not actually healthy as you are suggesting, and ends his football career — that would be malpractice, yes?

So please enlighten us as to the severity of his injury, including the grade of the LCL strain and the size, location and severity of the bone bruise. Surely if you are coming in here talking about how he can't be ready you must know all that.
Oh you don't know....thought so

He has a grade 1 to 2 LCL sprain AND a "complementary" bone bruise (bleeding within the bone) to go with it ... in local parlance, his knee is "funked up".
BUT, the happy news it that it WILL "go away" with proper rest and rehab ... no magic cyrogenic treatment it make it all better in 2 weeks
ALSO, it takes a bit to get "back in shape" ... again in local parlance, "get the knee right and strong, not stiff anymore"

HOFers and ex-players at every level will hit hard and attempt to put an opposing player out of the game - yet rarely if ever go for a players knees. The OP true colors shine through.

If we win, everyone will consider this season a success. If we lose, it will be a huge failure. You're telling me you don't want to play the guy who gives you the only chance to win because someone might hurt his knee?

Watson is going to be injured more than he's healthy. That's just a fact. When we have him, we'll use him as the amazing weapon he is. When we don't, we'll pound the rock and play defense.

somewhat agree!! but when we faced a similar situation years ago we made it a point to not hit his knee.. Don King started this by telling our guys to hit him HIGH!!! however, U can bet that the dirty c$$ts will do all they can to ruin him if he plays!! just how that bunch is!!
