I am constantly amazed at the vastly different ways in which people view various issues and concepts. Just reading the comments on this article is eye opening. It's like we are all from different planets and just can't relate to each other anymore. Sad.

This guy isn't following what Dabo is saying very well. Dabo is talking about the powerful changes that have occurred in our nation following MLKs example, and cited changes that have occurred in his lifetime that show it works. And this guy totally missed the point. He doesn't get the prescriptive power that "love your neighbor as yourself" has as an agent of change, and says as much when claiming that unity isn't the goal but change. Divisiveness causes one to dig-in... Loving others as neighbors is change.

and trying to turn it around to get clicks. The writer cares more about his clicks, than he does unity. He would rather see the world burn, then to have nothing to write about.
That is the saddest part of this.

Attempting to promote a hegemonic ideology that college football coaches, particular southern coaches, are ignorant and bigoted. This article has dissected Dabo's statements about as well as I sliced open the frog in my seventh grade science class.
The funniest part of the national media blitz in response to Dabo's presser is that these happen every single Tuesday. Dabo has always been outspoken about his beliefs. This is not news to us. I guess his weekly press conferences being on ESPN and such means we're relevant now?
