They say you can't have personal golf carts on campus? So how does everyone take theirs to their tailgate? Just ignore the rules and hope for the best?

I'd like to thank the CUAD for their stance on this one...lol.

I think they have a aisle similar rule about generators.

Yet, I have been using my little Honda for almost a decade.
I've also been known to hop a curve or 2 too park.
But I wouldn't beech and moan if I got busted.

Generators allowed, golf carts not

The rules are clear, and are included in every season ticket packet every year.

Tickets are sent to a family member. I don't have the packet. From what I understand it says no carts near the stadium and personal golf cart use is highly discouraged. Pretty vague to me. Luckily I got connected with someone in the iptay office who went in to better detail. The golf cart will stay home to avoid any problems. Would hate to be able to take elderly people at our tailgate with us to visit other friends and such.

I understand Clemson's reasons though for not allowing them. I was just curious to see if I could. Would probably be a bigger pain than what its worth.

I would have come in handy for broken people at your tailgate last year. The only problem is you can still get a DUI.

I own a golf cart, and I agree. I think most of the ones you see are CU personnel or people that live close by. If you have property close by, then by law, you can drive it on the roads, but CU can tell you to keep it off of their porperty.

prohibited "near the stadium", whatever that means. Personal golf carts are "highly discouraged" which means they don't want you to bring them, but probably won't do anything about it if you do as long as you do not ride them close to the stadium or park them close by.

So let me get this straight...you just got off the phone with IPTAY, but failed to ask them those questions? I guess t-net is more of valid source of info.
Just messing with you.
If you call them back, ask them: 1- do they impound the cart if they catch you? 2- is there a fine if they catch you? If so, then how much is the fine?
Just being thorough here.

I honestly could hardly get a word in with the woman. Oh well I'm not getting one strictly for Clemson games. Just thought it would be convenient to have for visiting friends scattered out everywhere. I have a friend who lives close to downtown so if something is said I will just take it to his house. Was never looking to drive it down to the stadium or park it near the stadium.

be in other people's way. Also, real #### lazy. There should not be golf carts any closer to campus than what is in-bounds for the golf course. There should not be side by sides or anything else either. Nuisance to both real vehicles and pedestrians.

Check out the trash on the highways and the shopping carts people leave at random in store parking lots. Should provide somewhat of a hint.

Golf carts are "discouraged", not disallowed. Believe me, If they were banned the language would say so.
Also, for the earlier post about generators, "Portable generators are allowed as long as they are rated 70db or lower as to not disturb other tailgaters". My Honda is super quiet but my neighbor has a Generac which is LOUD.

It also says golf carts are not permitted near the stadium and will be towed. So if you had your sights set on creating a parking place...
